Could You See Yourself Trying Some Pickup Lines?

I used to roll my eyes every time I hear someone throwing some pickup lines.

The first time I’ve heard Vice Ganda used some pickup lines in his segment, I recalled laughing out so hard. He is a Filipino TV host, endorser, actor, and recording artist, but he is best known for his stand-up routines. He gets funnier each passing day. Pickup lines have been so famous in the Philippines because of him or at least, that’s what I truly believe. Suddenly people now have amazing pickup lines to tell. Some of my sociable and funny friends use the funny and romantic pickup lines and it’s a wonder how women respond to them. My friends who are in love use them to impress their wives or girlfriends or would be girlfriends. Would you believe that they actually practiced saying those lines complete with voice modulation? Can you imagine? Amazing, right? Yes, folks, it has become so famous.

We stumbled onto the canned pickup lines that we though could express interest to some of our friends…

“Would you grab my arm so I can tell my friends I’ve been touched by an angel!”

“There must be something wrong with my eyes, I can’t take them off you!”

“You must be tired because you’ve been running through my head all night.”

“I hope you know CPR because you take my breath away!”

These types of lines are good conversation starters, they said, even if you don’t know the person you’re talking to. It’s kind of like an ice breaker to capture one’s attention. If you are strangers to each other, the ice is broken and it starts to warm up the interaction. If you know each other, laughter and great conversations can be generated by the ice breaker.
